John Hastings heads up the Redskins strength and conditioning development program for the fourth consecutive season.

He originally joined the organization in 2002 as an assistant strength and conditioning coach.

Hastings works closely with fellow strength and conditioning coaches Bobby Crumpler and Harrison Bernstein in overseeing the Redskins’ off-season workout program.

He helps get Washington’s players in peak playing condition for training camp and the regular season.

Prior to joining the Redskins, Hastings spent seven years with the San Diego Chargers (1995-2001), serving as head strength and conditioning coach for the last five years.

Hastings joined San Diego as an intern in 1990 and remained with the Chargers until he was hired as an assistant coach before the 1995 season.

A native of Newport News, Va., Hastings earned his degree in psychology and physical therapy from Ohio University in 1987.

He and his wife Lori have a son Alexander and a daughter Taylor.
