Hey there REDSKINS Fans!
It’s Tracey here and I can’t express to you the excitement I feel to be among the "First Ladies of Football". As a rookie member on the Redskins Cheerleading squad and a lifelong Redskins fanatic, I can honestly say this experience has been a dream come true.
Not only do I love the Redskins, but I love the game. When I say I am a lifelong fan it’s no joke - I’m pretty sure I was singing "HAIL" when I was in diapers. I am very lucky because my family has been season ticket holders since before I was born, dating back to when my father was six years old. When I was three, my parents brought me to my first game at RFK stadium and I fell in love with the energy, the music, the excitement, and most of all, the Cheerleaders. At that age, I didn’t follow the game as much. I just wanted to be the next cheerleading prodigy and tried to mimic every dance move. I was quite the entertainment in section 204! Needless to say, my mom signed me up for dance classes shortly after that.
My love for performing came at an early age - I swear even in my soccer years I would throw in a victory dance move after I scored a goal. I became very competitive in cheerleading starting at Lake Braddock High School and I continued that passion into college at Virginia Wesleyan. My passion only grew deeper when I coached cheer and dance at VA WILD, an All-Star gym in VA Beach.
Being a part of the Redskins has been such a rewarding experience. It has challenged me to become a better dancer, and opened doors to experiences I have never had. What I love most is that our team has such an amazing variety of women. Not only have I gained friendships, but I learn something new every day. Oh, and not to mention they are some of the funniest people I’ve ever met!
When I’m not cheering, I work for a digital marketing company as an Account/Sales Rep. With the free time that I have, it’s important to me to spend it with friends and family. I love to travel, try new things, big family feasts, working out, hanging out with friends, shopping with my ladies, and relaxing with my two adorable dogs!
Alright Redskins fans, I have a good feeling about this year, so we need the “12th Man” to help us cheer! I look forward to seeing everyone at FedExField! GO SKINS!!
Much love,
Tracey
