My name is Sarita and I am very excited for my first year as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. Joining this team of beautiful, smart, and talented women is truly an honor. I am thrilled to be a part of The First Ladies of Football and can’t wait to hit the field.
I first took the stage and began dancing at the age of 3, studying tap, ballet, and jazz at the The Shirl Bonaldi Dance Studio in Rochester, NY. At 9, I began cheerleading for my hometown, Hilton NY and also took gymnastics lessons as well. From there I performed with the Dance Team in college at SUNY Fredonia. It was with the Buffalo Bills that I first began cheering for the NFL. The Washington Redskins is my third NFL team, and I am very happy and feel at home with the burgundy and gold!
Besides cheerleading and my love of performing on the field, I love to read and I go to the library every Monday night (seriously!!!). I have a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College and actually started college at 16 as a piano major at The Eastman School of Music. I also love to run and ran my first marathon last year. In addition to piano, reading, and dance, I grew up as an equestrian and showed in English and Western. My favorite event though was competing in Cross Country Jumping.
My accomplishments would not have been possible without the love and support of my family and friends. I am very lucky to have such amazing people in my life who have always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. My mother is truly my inspiration – she started dancing at 3 years old, and trained 6 days a week!!! She understands how challenging auditioning for a team can be and how rewarding it is to perform. Mom – thank you very much for being my #1 fan.
Thank you Redskins fans for reading my bio. I can not wait to have an amazing season and GO TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!
