Greetings Redskins Fans!

My name is Klohver and this is my third year as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. I am a native Marylander and a life-long Redskins fan. Outside of cheering, I have an amazing and rewarding career as an attorney, licensed to practice in the state of Maryland and in Washington, D.C., the home of the best team in the NFL!

One of my most memorable moments as a child was in 1988 when the Redskins won the Super Bowl under the leadership of head coach Joe Gibbs and quarterback Doug Williams. My father, instead of waking me up to attend school, unexpectedly awoke me that cold winter morning to take me to the welcome home parade for the Redskins, where a hilarious Hogette placed his signature pig-nose on me.  I was so excited!

I also remember bringing a recording of "Hail to the Redskins" for show-and-tell at school and singing along with it for my class! How embarrassing--but nonetheless, those anecdotes evidence my long-spanning adoration for the Washington Redskins.

Since becoming a Washington Redskins Cheerleader, I have had the pleasure to travel the world to many different counties, acting as an ambassador for the Redskins, Redskins fans and the United States of America.  I have visited India, where we, the WRC, served as cheerleaders for the Royal Challengers Cricket Team of Bangalore.  I’ve also traveled Europe, specifically Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands and the United Kingdom, where we performed our world renowned variety show for the U.S. troops stationed there who are serving and protecting our Country.   Hong Kong, China is another nation to which I’ve traveled, where we performed in the Hong Kong Chinese New Year’s Parade.   Oh, and of course, I couldn’t forget travelling to Mexico and Aruba to shoot our annual Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Swimsuit Calendar!

Speaking of our calendars, through Washington Redskins cheerleading, I’ve had the opportunity to model.  Appearing in three years of Washington Redskins Cheerleaders Calendars, two of which I was thrilled to be featured as a calendar month model, have been amazing experiences and a lot of fun.   

I have also had the chance to help with many charitable organizations and programs while being a Washington Redskins Cheerleader.   Being given the opportunity to meet, talk with, and to benevolently serve families and children, seniors, veterans and many others from our local communities in the Washington Metropolitan area and from all over the world, has been a true pleasure and a gift. 

The experiences outlined above are invaluable, life-teaching moments that I’m so grateful to have lived.  From the fans I’ve met, both young and old, to the charities I’ve assisted, and to the U.S. Servicemen and women for whom I’ve had the pleasure to perform and meet,  I can truly say that my life has become more fulfilled and rewarding; more than I ever could have imagined. 
But I would be remiss to conclude my letter without thanking my family and friends. My mother and father are my role models, my best friends and the most important people in my world, and they are what I aspire to be.

I have a huge family and many great friends and sorors (skee-wee) who are my support system. They are my foundation and regularly encourage me to reach for the stars. Further, my best friend of nearly 20 years has been the very best friend any person could ever ask for, and to Al, thank you for everything you are and everything you inspire me to be. 

Last and most importantly, I thank God each day I wake for the chance to experience a new day, and without whom nothing would be possible, for "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." [Philippians 4:13]
