Hey Redskins Fans!

I’m so excited to be back for another year cheering on the BEST team in the NFL with some of my favorite ladies!! Though I currently live in Frederick, I’m originally from Bowie, MD, and I’ve grown up watching the Redskins. I never thought I would be a cheerleader for the Redskins, but that was probably because I had no idea that it’s really more dance than it is cheering.

Before I got into dancing, I started with gymnastics when I was five. My coach wanted to start training me for the Olympics around the age of 10 and my mom said that was a bad idea. She wanted me to be involved in something a little less "serious" for a little girl. So she put me in dance at age 11 and I’ve been hooked ever since! Thanks mom!

In high school, I was captain of my pom team and began teaching studio dance in Upper Marlboro, MD the year after I graduated. When I realized how much I missed dancing and performing, I auditioned for the Washington Wizards NBA dance team and made it. I danced for the Wizards for a year, while continuing to attend community college at Anne Arundel. After dancing for the wizards, I continued taking dance classes, but my life got pretty busy: I got engaged, married and had a baby in a 3-4 year time span!

Then, once again, I realized how much I really missed dancing and performing, so I decided to audition for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders in 2007! These women have been like a second family to me ever since! I’m so glad I get to be a part of such a great organization with the most beautiful and talented women I’ve ever met!

I also love how supportive my husband is! He couldn’t be happier seeing me get the opportunity to continue doing something I love! Did I mention I actually met him when I danced for the Wizards? He’s my biggest fan!

When I’m not cheering, I am a stay at home mom for my two little angels. There is NEVER a dull moment in my house as my kids keep me very busy every day! I’m so grateful to be able to stay at home with them and I’m convinced that God has blessed me with the most rewarding job ever!

During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my family and close friends. I love decorating, the beach, sushi, dates with my hubby, playing outside with the kids, traveling to visit friends, and lots of summer cookouts--especially if there are crabs involved! I really enjoy being a wife, a mom, and a professional dancer/cheerleader.

I can’t wait to see how this season unfolds and I look forward to seeing all you fans cheering with us on the sidelines!
