Hello Redskins Fans,

Jamilla is here, and I am ready to cheer! I’m 33 years old, originally from Newport News, VA, and I am in my seventh season and fifth year as a captain for the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. Along with cheering for my favorite team, I work full-time as a Senior Account Executive in the Premium Season Tickets and Marketing department. Want seats? Call me!

I currently have the best seats in the house--the sidelines!

Off the sidelines, I enjoy being a role model for the cutest cheerleaders in the NFL--"The First Little Ladies of Football", and truly enjoy being the choreographer for the WRC Juniors program.  Being a part of the team has been absolutely amazing in so many ways, and I will always cherish the amazing friendships, the great memories, and the wonderful opportunities that cheering for the Redskins has offered me.

Traveling is truly a passion of mine, and the one trip I will always hold dear to my heart is traveling to Hawaii to represent the Redskins Cheerleaders at the 2005 Pro Bowl. It is the biggest honor I have ever received, and many thanks to my teammates!

I’ve also had the opportunity to travel the world to perform for our US soldiers in Bosnia, Sarajevo, Kosovo, Italy, Cuba, Djibouti, Africa, Afghanistan, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Honduras, and Iraq.  Iraq was a wonderful experience, and I am glad that I was able to bring a piece of home to our soldiers who sacrifice their lives each day for us.  Many thanks to all of you, and we look forward to having you back home safely.  I have also traveled to several other wonderful locations such as Hong Kong for the 2009 Chinese New Year Parade, several exotic locations to shoot the Redskins Cheerleader Calendar, as well as to Los Angeles to shoot the September 2004 issue of Maxim magazine. And now that modeling is my new side gig, you can catch me modeling in the Washington, D.C. area.

Before becoming a part of the Burgundy and Gold family, I represented the Green and Gold at George Mason University, as a cheerleader and coach of the national ranked co-ed and all –girl teams.  I graduated from GMU with a B.A. in Communications.

Although I feel like I live at the stadium 24-7, I do enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, reading, working out with the Optimum Fitness team and dancing for the Capitol Movement, Inc, a non-profit organization that promotes the development of dancers in the Washington, D.C., metro area.  You can catch me performing at our annual show, Capitol Movement Project at the Lincoln Theater each year.  Along with my love for dance, I love to rhinestone!  You name it and I can make it “sparkle” - from accessories to shoes to hats.  I am currently starting a business that will add a little “sparkle” to your life, so stay tuned!

Now..."Are you ready for some football?"

It is time to cheer on the best team in the NFL, and I need you here with me as the "12th Man," cheering your heart out.  Redskins fans, you guys ROCK!  Thanks for all your love and support for us, and the best football team in the NFL.

And last, but never least I want say many, many, many thanks to my loving family and friends for always being my biggest cheerleaders. You guys truly inspired me!  I look forward to seeing everyone here at FedEx Field. And always remember: "Live, Love, Laugh…. DANCE!"

Wink,
