Hey Redskins Fans!

My name is Heather and I am 30 years old from Stafford, VA. Living in the area as a child, I never expected I’d be cheering for the burgundy and gold, but here I am, entering another season as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader! This will be my sixth season and second year as a WRC captain. I can’t wait to be on the sidelines again with the most talented ladies in the NFL.

After graduating from George Mason University with a degree in Environmental Science and a minor in Dance, I went on to cheer for the NBA’s Washington Wizards. I danced for 2 years as Michael Jordan made his return to the NBA. Eventually, the excitement of football got the best of me. Now, I have two perfect jobs, cheering on the Redskins and working for my father as a consultant and engineer for the Department of Defense. In addition to the Redskins, I am proud to be part of the company for the Capital Movement Inc., a non-profit organization that has been promoting dance in the Washington, D.C., metro area for over 4 years.

Through the Redskins organization and in support of our Nations’ military, I’ve had the amazing opportunity to travel across the globe in support of these spectacular men and woman. These have been the experiences that have touched and changed my life in so many ways. I’ve been able to visit countries most people would never dream of visiting including Kuwait, Honduras, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Dominican Republic, Bosnia, Iraq, India, and even Djibouti, Africa. Last year I added Hong Kong, China to my list where the WRC performed as part of the New Years celebration.

When I’m not on the sidelines, my favorite thing to do--and what I value most--is spending time with my loved ones. I have such a goofy, tight-knit and loving family and I cannot thank them enough for being so incredibly supportive over the years.

I want to thank my teammates for being my support-system and my life-long best friends. I’m truly honored to being dancing beside these ladies!

Of course, I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you--The Fans! Seeing the smiles on your faces makes every minute extraordinary and I will never forget the experiences I’ve had with this team. Cheers to a great year ahead!
