Dear Redskins fans:

My name is Dawn and I am ecstatic to be in my second year as a Redskins Cheerleader!  The energy that I get while performing for my favorite NFL team is undoubtedly addicting, so I am thrilled to be a part of the enthusiasm that Redskins fans bring to the Washington, D.C. area for another year!

I was born and raised in a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio where I started studio dance classes at the age of two. For fifteen years I took a variety tap, jazz, ballet and acrobatics classes.  In seventh grade I started cheering and continued throughout high school.  While attending college, I focused on my degree and studied abroad in Seville, Spain and Puebla, Mexico.  I am proud to say that I graduated as the Student Marshall for all Business Management majors at Penn State University.  I moved to Washington, D.C. after graduating and I have enjoyed living here ever since.

It is difficult to briefly explain all of the life changing experiences I have shared with this group of intellectual, talented and entertaining women!  I have been fortunate enough to travel to Aruba, Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Marco Island, Hong Kong for the Chinese New year, and throughout India where we performed for the Bangalore Royal Challengers cricket team.  The moment when I had a chance to feel the pride of being a part of the Redskins was when we had the honor to perform during the NFL Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio in 2008.  Ironically, the last time that

I was in Fawcett Stadium was during my senior year in high school when our football team was playing for the state title.  In the same way that I was excited to be there several years ago, the outpouring of support that the Redskins fans showed for this team was indescribable and it was a perfect example of why we have the best fans in the League.

When I am not at FedEx Field, I like to stay active. I love to play golf, try new foods, travel, attend Pilates classes, watch any type of comedy, and generally just relax!

I truly feel blessed for my parents and fiancé who support me in all of my endeavors and I want to send them a special "Thank You" for being my biggest fans.

Lastly, I would be remiss if I didn’t express my gratitude to all of our troops who fight everyday for this country.  You are my heroes and inspiration.
