I’m a second year member of the WRC, but an eight-year NFL vet. I cheered three years with the Baltimore Ravens, and three years with the Seattle Seahawks, including Super Bowl XL(an amazing experience).
I love football! I love the tailgating, rooting for your team, and camaraderie that is formed with the fans around you. Of course, I also love performing on the football field. I can think of no better team than the Redskins to enjoy the rich history of football.
My love for football began in my hometown of Spencer, WV. WVU football is like an NFL team for the people that live in the state. Fall weekends revolved around the Mountaineers… and frankly still do. I have been lucky enough to combine my love of football and dancing to be part of the NFL.
Cheerleading has presented many opportunities and opened many doors for me. My experience with the media as a cheerleader is part of what lead me to pursue my master’s degree in broadcast journalism. I graduated this spring from the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland. In addition, I have made many friends, now all over the country, through my affiliation with the NFL.
This opportunity is a blessing, and I have so much to look forward to this season, dancing in the largest stadium in the NFL, bonding with new friends and teammates, and cheering on the burgundy and gold.
Hail to the Redskins!
