My name is Ana, and as a rookie, I must say that this team really knows how to make someone feel welcome and pumped up for a great season.

I’d like to begin by thanking my family for their continued love and support. My hardworking mom for all the healthy snacks and constant push to be the best; my witty father for the self-confidence; my very honest brother for his advice (sometimes you need to know how those little shorts really look!) Finally, my energetic 3 year-old niece for being my inspiration and #1 fan!

I was born in Bolivia, home of some delicious food. If you’ve never had Bolivian food, I suggest you treat yourself as soon as possible! My family moved to the U.S. in search of a better life and I’m so grateful for their hard work. Thanks to them, I discovered the wonderful world of dance.

I love all things dance. My training started with ballet and I later expanded my training to jazz, modern, and hip hop throughout high school and college. I also teach ballet, salsa, and I’m a certified Pilates instructor. Whether it’s in my kitchen, while grocery shopping, or on stage - I’m constantly moving! There is no greater feeling than performing and feeding off of the energy of the crowd and my teammates. One of the best memories I have was winning a college scholarship as an All-American dancer, to perform at the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2001. The intensity of the crowd was amazing, and since then I’ve been hoping for the chance to perform in that environment again. Needless to say, it’s an honor to share the field with such a talented group of women as a First Lady of Football.

My other passion is for the study of law. During the daytime, I work as a paralegal in the area of criminal defense. I’m fascinated by the power of words for persuasive arguments. Since Spanish is my native language, learning English was a tremendous accomplishment. I feel very proud to be fully bilingual and work in an environment that is so challenging. It’s also very rewarding to go home every day knowing that we have helped someone through an incredibly tough situation. One of my goals is to finish law school and make a difference one person at a time.

When I’m not dancing or doing legal research, I am on the go. I love to travel! Put me on a plane, boat, bus, train, for work or for play, I’m there. I want to see the world and all that it has to offer. During college, I traveled abroad to London, England where I studied dance and law. It was the best four months of my life! I made life-long friends and learned so much about different cultures and lifestyles. It is because of that experience that I now know it’s my calling to one day travel the world dancing and teaching.

Now, for those lazy days, (a rare, but sometimes necessary situation) Family Guy and Sex and The City re-runs give me the break I need. The only thing that could top that is salsa dancing with my four best friends. We are... an interesting bunch. I also love watching football with my family and spending as much time as I can with my niece. As true fans, Sunday nights are sacred and boy do we get serious about game time.

I feel so blessed to be a part of such a great franchise, doing what I love to do most. Thank you for all your support, and for taking the time to get to know me. I love hearing from all of you, so please don’t hesitate to drop a line or say hello on game day!
