The Redskins have made quick work signing two of their six draft picks, inking fifth-round linebacker Cody Glenn and seventh-round fullback Eddie Williams.

Glenn was the 158th overall selection in the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at Nebraska.

As a senior, Glenn transitioned to linebacker from running back and posted 51 tackles, four passes defended and one forced fumble.

Glenn, 6-0 and 240 pounds, is expected to compete for playing time at weak-side linebacker and play on special teams with the Redskins.

Williams was the first of two seventh-round selections by the Redskins. He was the 221st overall selection in the NFL Draft and played college football at Idaho.

Williams, 6-1 and 239 pounds, played tight end, fullback and H-back in his tenure at Idaho. As a senior, he grabbed 54 passes for 687 yards and six touchdowns.

Williams suffered a knee ligament injury last November and was sidelined for the Redskins’ off-season mini-camp and OTAs.

He is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp.
