LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA -- The Washington Redskins announced June 11 that the Redskins Broadcast Network won a 2009 Emmy Award at the 51st annual National Capital Area Emmy Awards Gala on Saturday June 6.
This marks the team’s fourth-ever Emmy Award since the debut of the Redskins Broadcast Network in 2005.
The Redskins Broadcast Network won its 2009 Emmy Award for the documentary, "Stories from a Super Season," hosted by Bernard Shaw. The documentary focused on the tale of the Redskins’ first Super Bowl championship in the 1982-83 season.
Stories from a Super Season detailed the 1982-83 season featuring such legendary players as John Riggins, Joe Theismann and the Fun Bunch. They re-live great moments and untold stories from the Super Bowl Season.
