Guidelines

The Washington Redskins provide support to a wide range of charities and community organizations each year. We are happy to support your upcoming fund-raising efforts by donating Redskins merchandise and memorabilia to be auctioned off or raffled off at charitable events. The Redskins are committed to assisting local non-profit organizations to raise funds for worthwhile causes through the donation of Redskins signed merchandise. Each year the Redskins organization donates thousands of items that have raised over $250,000 per year for local charities.

The following procedures and guidelines are designed to help you with your donation request:

Due to the overwhelming number of donation requests we receive, the Redskins are only able to accept requests from non-profit, charitable organizations located in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The Washington Redskins receive over 10,000 donation requests per year. We try to fulfill as many of these requests as possible in a timely fashion, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee that every donation request will be met. Even if your organization is located in these four states, please be aware that our support cannot be guaranteed.

All requests must be submitted on the memorabilia donation request form at least 8 weeks in advance of your event. No telephone, fax, or email requests will be accepted. We ask that each organization submit only one donation request per year in order to accommodate as many organizations as possible.

Upon receipt of the memorabilia donation request form, all organizations will receive notification and/or a donation two weeks prior to the event date. As a result of numerous requests each week, the donation fulfillment process can be lengthy--please be patient!


Helpful Donation Request Hints

It is recommended that your event does not center around anticipation of a Redskins donation item, but should be approached as a complimentary element to your program.

We reiterate that due to the large volume of requests we receive, our response to any particular donation request is at our sole discretion.

Due to the season sell-out at FedExField, we cannot donate tickets to community organizations. However, we have no objection to individual donations of tickets to your organization, so long as the proceeds from the auction, raffle or sale of these tickets go to your organization for charitable purposes.


Individual Autograph Requests

Please note, the Washington Redskins cannot accommodate requests from individuals for player autographs. Please do not send the Washington Redskins items such as footballs, jerseys, photos, and trading cards to be signed by Redskins players. Although we will attempt to return these items to the sender, we are not responsible if these items are lost, misplaced or damaged.

If you have an irreplaceable item, we suggest that you keep it in your possession. We cannot guarantee that any items sent to players or coaches will be returned. It is up to the individual player or coach to respond to his personal requests and fan mail. All requests should include a self-addressed stamped (unsealed) envelope. Please do not send items to more than one player in the same envelope.

The Washington Redskins cannot assume any responsibility for items mailed directly to players.
