Jason Campbell Media Session
On the game against Dallas being a must win: “It’s a must-win for both teams and something has to give. We are also in a situation where we are still trying to fight for the division and we all are trying to fight for the playoffs. From now on, every game is a must-win situation. Just because of the position that we are in, if you have any opportunity to win the division you must keep winning.” On the possibility of running back Clinton Portis not playing this week: “If Clinton can’t play we all still have to go out there and play hard. You do that anyway because of the nature of the game. Clinton is a playmaker and we also use him in our pass blocking schemes, so if Clinton can’t go hopefully Ladell (Betts) can go and Shaun (Alexander) has been preparing himself for the opportunity.” On Cowboys’ quarterback Tony Romo: “Tony Romo is a tremendous quarterback and he has been one of the top in the league in the last two to three years. Them having him back adds a dimension to their deep ball and plus he can throw the ball in a lot of different areas that others may not. Romo’s been in the offense longer than Brad (Johnson) and (Brooks) Bollinger. He has the chemistry with those guys and that makes a difference.” On how much pressure will be on the passing game if running back Clinton Portis doesn’t play: “It’ll be different. You have the leading rusher back there and a guy who’s so versatile in our offense. It definitely adds a dimension because people have to respect our run game and it gives you the opportunity to utilize your whole offense. You don’t want to have to get one-dimensional, if he can’t go, I’m pretty sure we will still do good things rushing the ball, but just having him back there adds another dimension.” |
