| Key member of the 1945 NFL East Championship squad… Played in nine NFL seasons… Most memorable moment with Redskins was “Al Demao Day” against the Steelers in 1952 when the fans chipped in and bought him a brand new Pontiac car, which was presented during an emotional halftime ceremony… Lists Sammy Baugh as his greatest inspiration: “He did everything”… Says being named one of “70 Greatest” is one of his major accomplishments… Redskins are “a heck of an organization and I greatly enjoyed my years with the franchise”… Most admired teammates were Baugh and Hugh “Bones” Taylor.
After retiring from the NFL, worked as a successful sales manager for Kronheim Co. for more than 40 years.
