Redskins Read Book Drive

In partnership with Everybody Wins! DC – a non-profit organization that promotes children's literacy by pairing students with reading mentors and placing new books in the hands of low-income students in Washington, D.C. – the Charitable Foundation hosts an annual book drive in partnership with Everybody Wins! DC and Barnes & Noble.

Redskins Read Activity Book

Over 250,000 Redskins Read Activity Books are distributed annually throughout Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. These books, filled with elementary-aged activities to promote reading and education while learning about the Redskins, are delivered by FedEx free of charge to schools, libraries and local non-profit organizations. If your organization is interested in receiving these books, please contact the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation.

Redskins Read Challenge

The Redskins Read initiative promotes youth literacy by challenging local elementary school students in the D.C. Metro Area to explore the joy of reading and the power of imagination through books. Students are encouraged to track their number of reading minutes for the 2013-2014 school year are invited to have a parent, guardian or teacher nominate them for the Redskins Read Challenge. Eligible students will receive reading certificates and be entered into a drawing to win additional Redskins prizes!
