Holiday Programs

Redskins players and their families annually join the Hogettes and 400 corporate volunteers from Ernst & Young, FedEx, Harris Teeter, Junior League of Washington, London's Bridge, Prince George's County Department of Social Services, Ryan Homes, U.S. Army and Wachovia to distribute Thanksgiving food baskets at FedExField to Prince George's County, MD residents in need. Prince George's County residents are determined eligible for participation through the Prince George's County Social Services Department. The Redskins provide 3,500 families with a complete Thanksgiving food basket that includes a whole turkey provided by Harris Teeter and a selection of packaged and fresh food provided by Operation Blessing. This past year, over 42,000 pounds of turkey and over 95,000 pounds of packaged and fresh food was provided to area families in need.

In partnership with Antwaan Randle El and the El Foundation, the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation annually hosts a holiday party for hundreds of underserved children in the Washington, DC area. The holiday party includes a chance to interact with Redskins players, visit with Santa Claus, and receive a brand-new winter coat and toy.

Each December, the Washington Redskins Charitable Foundation transforms the Redskins locker room at FedExField into Santa's Workshop filled with toys for over 1,000 deserving children in the Washington, DC area. Redskins players join the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots volunteers to talk with the children and help them select a new toy.

On December 12th the Redskins and U.S. Marine Corps will host Touchdown for Tots before kick off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at FedExField and we're counting on you to help us! Fans can support Touchdown for Tots by bringing a new, unwrapped toy to the collection bins around the stadium, text "TD" now through December 24th to 50555 to make a $5 donation or visit www.toysfortots.org/touchdown to donate to our local Toys for Tots campaign.
