The Washington Redskins Cheerleaders pride themselves in offering unique and various types of ways to prepare to be a cheerleader one day...or just dance, be in shape and look like one.
This season marks the 4th Annual Training Program. Applicants interested will become part of a mini team over a four (4) month period (September – December 2015)
Training Program classes are taught by Pro Bowl Cheerleader and Captain, Charo as well as several Alumni Cheerleaders. Coached by Assistant Director of Marketing & Programs and 10-year WRC Veteran, Jamilla Keene, these women are prepared for prep classes and auditions next Spring 2016.
There are 12 classes on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., September through December 2015. Training Program ladies interested in taking an additional in-depth technique class can do so each night from 6:00-6:50 p.m. for an additional $10. There is tuition due for those accepted in the program prior to the first class. Performances for the Training Program Team are held December 15th and another possibly scheduled in February 2016. Along with choreography, technique and performances, the Training Program participants will work out with the 1st Ladies Fitness Committee to get in shape for the 2016 audition season.
Once a month the training program class is opened up to anyone that would like to take class and work out with them. Dates and additional information about the open classes are listed below. Even if you are not auditioning for the team, this gives you the opportunity to train and rehearse like the First Ladies of Football.
Cost is $30 per open training session* and payments and registration take place up to 30 minutes prior to the start of class.
Dates for the Technique and open Training Program classes are as follows:
Wednesday, September 30, 2015
Wednesday, October 21, 2015
Wednesday, November 18, 2015
* For an additional $10 the open class attendees may attend the Technique Class from 6:00-6:50 p.m. before Open Training Program Class at 7:00 p.m.
