Junior Redskins All-Star Team
Jamie Christian
Photography The Junior Redskins All-Star Dance Team Members are chosen from among all summer dance camp participants. The new team will be chosen from dancers nominated at camps each summer. Nominees from camps will then be invited to a final audition for the Junior Redskins All-Star Dance Team. The selection process is based on demonstration of the following: good memory, technical abilities, good facial expression, ability to learn routines quickly and positive attitude. The Junior Redskins All-Star Dance Team is a competitive team that rehearses under the direction of the Redskins Cheerleaders Director Stephanie Jojokian and assistant Vihky Smith. They will have the opportunity to perform with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders in front of 90,000-plus fans at a minimum of one Redskins home game! They will also compete at 2-4 dance competitions against other all-star dance teams. This is the first competitive Junior Squad in the NFL! Stephanie Jojokian wants to make sure that she challenges the young All-Star members to become better dancers and performers, and provides them with unique dance opportunities. The 2004 Junior Redskins All-Star Dance Teams competed and won first place, state champions, division champions and Grand champions in the Spirit Unlimited and Atlantic Cheer and Dance Championships! The 2005 team won first place all season and seventh in the country at NDA's Nationals in Orlando, Fla. Remember, unlike the Junior Redskins Cheerleaders, you have to attend a dance camp to become an All-Star Dance Team member. Between 30-45 girls will be selected for the All-Star team. For more information, contact Stephanie Jojokian at 301-276-6655 or email jojokians@redskins.com. Additional Links |
