Hellooooo Redskins fans!!
Mila here, writing to you all after another great tour experience in the
The more we were shown around the bases, the more I couldn't wait to perform and hopefully even put a smile on a few faces. The excitement of the crowd makes our jobs a lot easier, but the slience from the audience during our first show made us nervous that we weren't performing our best. Later, we found out from Mark Mosely (aka grandpop), that the service men and women were all so happy to have us there that they were hesitant to get too loud and offend us! It's nice to know men can still be gentlemen in the middle of duty.
What I enjoyed most about tour other than performing, beating some of the soldiers at Call of Duty, and playing a pick-up game of basketball, were the genuine conversations I shared with many of the troops. I loved sitting down and getting to know the stories and daily lives of many different types of individuals - where they came from, how they got there, where they will end up. I only hope that our company reminded them of home and that they have something to come back to...and to come home safely!
Love,
