Hi, Redskins fans!

My name is Taryn and I am absolutely thrilled to be cheering alongside this group of talented, beautiful, and passionate women for my new town’s NFL team: the great Redskins! I was born and raised in the other Washington (Washington state), graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Scripps College in sunny SoCal where I earned my B.A. with honors in Economics and Mathematics, and am excited to have moved east to the nation’s capital in order to pursue a career in information security research. I’ve fallen in love with this city and am truly honored to be a part of the WRC sisterhood!

I began dancing at the age of 4 at Backstage Dance Studio in Bellevue, WA where I received extensive training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip hop, and tap. As a member of their competition team, I traveled from New York City to Los Angeles (with many cities in between!) in order to compete on regional and national levels, as well as take classes from world-renowned choreographers and dancers. Throughout my four years in college, I was a member, choreographer, and director of the 5C Dance Company, performing at both Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer sporting events. Since dancing has always been an integral part of my life, I feel truly blessed and excited to be able to continue moving and shaking in Washington, D.C. with my WRC family!

When I’m not working or dancing, you can find me practicing yoga (thanks for instilling the habit, Dad!), trying out a new recipe in the kitchen, pounding the pavement (I have a newfound love for running), or catching up on the slew of healthy living and fashion blogs I follow. Last but not least, I extend my sincere gratitude to my wonderful family and friends who have supported me in all of my endeavors—I am so lucky to be surrounded by the ones I love.

I can’t wait to see you on game day… can I get a HAIL YEAH?!
