Hi Skins Fans!

My name is Rachel and I am so honored to return for my fifth year as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader and my second season as captain! My experience thus far as a cheerleader has been absolutely incredible, and it is all thanks to the Redskins organization, my wonderful WRC sisters, and all of the amazing fans I meet throughout the year!

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California, and I also spent a few years in Texas. I moved to the Northern Virginia area in 2008, and currently I work as a legal assistant and a bartender. As much as I miss California and Texas, I have to say that I have fallen in love with the Virginia and Washington, DC area. Dancing has been a passion of mine since the age of three. I have been trained in all styles of dance, but I have to say my favorites are jazz and tap. By the age of six, I began dancing competitively at The Dance Co. in Long Beach, CA. I have performed with several touring ballet companies including The Royal Danish Ballet and San Francisco Ballet. I have also performed at both the Holiday Bowl and LA Clippers halftime shows, as well as cheered for a women’s ABL team. It was not until my dance studio in Texas was fortunate to be chosen to perform at NFL halftime shows that I knew I wanted to become an NFL cheerleader. There is nothing more exciting than performing in front of thousands of people for a sport you love to watch.

Besides dance, I love listening to alternative music and going to see live rock concerts around the country. It is so much fun being able to see the bands that I love to listen to playing right in front of me. I also love traveling to new places and have been lucky enough to travel internationally. I have been fortunate to go on three military appreciation tours where I met and performed for the brave men and women fighting for our country. Those were some of the best experiences of my life that made me feel so proud to live in the USA!

I am fortunate to have such an amazing family and friends who have encouraged me throughout my life to follow my dreams and aim high. Without their love and support, especially my parents and my husband who are always there for me, I couldn't have come this far! I love you so much.

I know this is going to be another exciting season for Redskins fans! I feel so blessed to cheer for the best team in the NFL! See you on the field.

HTTR!!
