Hi Redskins Nation. My name is Rachel and this is my rookie year as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. Words can't express how honored I am to be one of the First Ladies of Football. Being an only child always had me wishing for an older sister and that wish came true when I was chosen to be a part of the WRC family. The sisterhood I've already come to know is beyond my expectations and something I will cherish for years to come.
I started my dance career at the age of four and began dancing on a competitive level at the age of eight on an award winning dance team at Rohanna Dance Productions. I've danced in regional and national competitions along the east coast, winning many top awards in group dances as well as solos. I've had the privilege of working with numerous professional dancers and choreographers through the years who provided me with experience, training and technique. I had the opportunity to meet Jamilla in 2007 when I participated in the Spirit Explosion Halftime Show with my dance team and this is when I knew right then and there that I wanted to become a Redskins cheerleader. Being part of a team has always been something I've thoroughly enjoyed and I'm so blessed to be able to continue that dream as a First Lady of Football. I was born and raised in Maryland and my parents are avid Redskins fans so naturally burgundy and gold have always been my colors.
I keep busy working part time at a dance studio as well as modeling for a DC based bridal shop and attending classes at Anne Arundel Community College part time. I'm looking forward to studying in the health and nutrition field and hope to work with special needs children in the future. I want to thank my family and friends for all the love and support they've provided over the years because I would not be where I am today or the person I am without you all. I also have to thank my talented and dedicated dance teachers who provided me with the training that helped me fulfill my dream of being part of the WRC.
So fans, put your game face on and I'll see you on the field!! HTTR forever and always!!
