Hey Redskins fans!
It’s Monique again and I am back for my 4th year and my first year as captain on this wonderful Squad! I am a 2010 graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor in Fine Arts in Jazz Dance Performance. I am a Washington DC native, born and raised, so I grew up cheering for the Skins and wearing Burgundy and Gold! I work for a Federal Law Enforcement agency, and I am one of the lucky people who can truly say they love their job… both of them!

In my second year, I had the opportunity to take part in a Local Military Tour visiting several local bases and performing for the troops and their families. Redskins Cheerleaders also helped me with many opportunities outside of WRC, like being Miss DC USA 2012, supporting me 100% all the way to Miss USA. My favorite aspect of cheering for the Redskins is the family spirit! I am excited for this year and football season! I envision big things from our team this season.
People who know me best would say I am a “walking contradiction”. I am full of so much energy, yet, I am very laid back. I enjoy the simple things in life and thoughtfulness will win me over every time! When I am not cheering I am most likely traveling when time allows! I also love music! I have eclectic taste in music and can appreciate all genres but my absolute favorite is jazz and neo/soul, especially when it comes to live concerts.
My favorite moment as a cheerleader has yet to change! It is most definitely running out of the tunnel for pre-game as a rookie on the squad. There is nothing quite like that adrenaline rush and I still get it even four years later. I have to say that you fans are what makes that happen. Your loud screams and cheers during EVERY game make this experience so surreal. I look forward to another year with you all and LET’S GO SKINS!
Much Love!
