Hey Redskins Fans!
My name is Megan and words cannot describe how excited I am for my third season as a First Lady of Football! I feel honored to be part of such an amazing and talented group of women for the 2013-2014 season.
I started dancing at the age of three in my hometown of Pittston, PA. From that point on, dance was my passion and I can’t imagine having grown up without it. I took classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and pointe, and I started dancing competitively at age nine. I became a cheerleader in middle school and that too became a passion of mine. I loved performing and cheering on my team so it is awesome to be able to share this enthusiasm as a Redskins Cheerleader.

Although dance has always been my passion, education has always come first. I set a goal for myself at a young age that someday I would become a city girl and when I graduated high school that’s exactly what I did! I attended The George Washington University in the heart of Washington, DC where I majored in computer engineering. Of course I still needed dance in my life, so I auditioned for the GW First Ladies dance team. Fortunately, I made the team and had some of the best experiences of my life. From competing in Disney World at Universal Dance Association College Nationals to traveling with the Colonials basketball teams, there was never a dull moment! During my time at GW, I developed a love for Washington, DC and also saw the love that Washington, DC had for the Redskins. Shortly after graduation I began my career in the engineering field in the DC area and realized that I too fell in love with the Redskins. I am thrilled to be able to continue on my career path and fulfill my passion for dance in this city that I have grown to love so much!
I am so grateful to have had so many amazing opportunities and experiences and even more grateful that my wonderful family has been with me along the way. My mother taught me from a young age to reach for the stars and without her always cheering me on I wouldn’t be where I am today. I’ve learned that anything worth achieving takes hard work and I thank my mother for encouraging me no matter what.
I will always treasure the memories from my first two seasons as a WRC and I’m looking forward to many more new experiences this year as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. I can’t wait to see all of you in the stands!
