Hey Redskins Fans,

My name is Maya and I’m ecstatic to be a part of the WRC family for a third season! Dancing is definitely my passion and I’ve been doing it since I was eight! My favorite type of dance is hip hop and I recently started learning break dancing. I am a Filipino-American that lives life to the fullest! My newest and most exciting hobbies are archery and target shooting (in training for the next hunger games). I also love to box, rock climb, and snowboard –or anything that keeps me outdoors.

Hey Redskins Fans,

I’m currently a full time student at George Mason University majoring in communications with a concentration in public relations. I am also a writer for the communicator magazine at Mason. When I’m not learning or cheering, I work part-time for a marketing company in Alexandria.

Recently, I was selected to go on a 16 day Military tour to six different countries throughout Europe and the Middle East. It was an unbelievably heart-warming experience. I just want to thank all the men and women who fight for our country! I cannot express my gratitude enough. It’s not easy being away from family for so long and I am incredibly grateful that we were able to bring a little piece of home to the troops.

I thank God for blessing me with this amazing opportunity and giving me the chance to cheer with such a talented and beautiful group of ladies. Because of WRC, these women have definitely helped mold me into becoming who I am today. I’d like to thank my family, friends, and Pi Beta Phi sisters for always showing their unconditional support all season long. You all rock!
