Kon-nichi-wa, Redskins fans!

My name is Masako and I am thrilled to be returning as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader!

I am originally from Kobe, Japan. I studied English literature in college and wrote my thesis about "Romeo and Juliet,” one of the most famous tragedies by Shakespeare. After I graduated, I worked as a personal assistant for high-level executives for almost 10 years before I moved to the U.S. in 2012.  I met our director, Stephanie, in Japan in 2007 when she came to teach dance and I just fell in love with the WRC style!

After I graduated, I worked as a personal assistant for high-level executives for almost 10 years before I moved to the U.S. in 2012.  I met our director, Stephanie, in Japan in 2007 when she came to teach dance and I just fell in love with the WRC style! Sometimes, I still cannot believe that my dream to become a Washington Redskins Cheerleader finally came true in 2013, and I am always humbled and grateful that meeting her turned into a life changing experience!

Outside of dancing I am very blessed to have a job as an office manager at a major Japanese TV station in DC.  In my free time, I enjoy cooking the most. Cooking has been the love of my life especially after I moved to the U.S. When I am not practicing or cheering on the field, you can find me assisting classes at a culinary arts school or helping a chef prepare for private parties and events. I hope I can transform my career to be a chef in the near future; I want to fuse modern Japanese with Italian cuisine and also educate people that eating healthy can be really fun and tasty.

I can't wait to see you all at the games! HTTR!!!!
