My name is Heather and I am super excited to begin this new chapter in my life as a First Lady of Football! It is my greatest honor and privilege to be given this opportunity to dance beside and learn from the most established, intelligent, talented, and beautiful women I have ever met!
Born and raised on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, I am a small town girl with big dreams and a big heart. I began cheerleading when I was just six years old. Immediately, I fell in love with the sport and as I continued to grow, so did my passion for performing. I danced for a hip-hop dance troupe throughout middle school and in high school, my insatiable hunger for more led me to competitive cheerleading and gymnastics. My name is Heather and I am super excited to begin this new chapter in my life as a First Lady of Football! I took my first ballet class in college just for fun and learned that even at age 22, I still have so much to learn! That's the beauty of dance. It's dynamic and there's always room for growth. As a rookie Washington Redskins Cheerleader, I enthusiastically look forward to challenging myself every day to become a better and stronger dancer, as well as an individual, while cheering on the best team in the NFL!!
In May 2012, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree with honors from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, I am a full time pediatric emergency department nurse. When I'm not saving lives or dancing, you might find me traveling, skydiving, cliff jumping, surfing, running marathons, or boating on the Chesapeake Bay. I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie, but I can assure you that I balance my fast-paced lifestyle with frequent lazy days curled up with a good book, a cup of tea, and the company of my adorable kitty, Juice.
I cannot thank my friends and family enough for the ongoing well wishes, support and encouragement I have received during this journey. A special thank you goes out to my Mother and sister for never letting me give up on my dreams. Thank you for believing, I could not have come this far without the two of you. I am overwhelmed with gratitude for this once in a lifetime opportunity and I am excited beyond comprehension for the experiences yet to come!
I have high expectations for the upcoming 2013 season and I can't wait to see YOU on game day! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!
Cheers,
