Hello Redskins Fans!

My name is Elesia. I am beyond ecstatic for my first season as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader. I am 25 years old and originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. I am absolutely thrilled and honored to cheer for the best team in the NFL! It has been a dream of mine to become a part of the Washington Redskin Cheerleader family for years. Every day I walk into FedExField, I still feel like I am dreaming!

I am a 2010 graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors of Science degree in electronic media and journalism. I also received my Masters of Science degree in Agriculture in 2011. Currently, I am obtaining my doctoral degree in public policy and administration. I am a bit of a book worm, but performing is my outlet! I also work full time as a marketing specialist for the federal government. One day I hope to merge my academic backgrounds in communications, agriculture, and public policy all into one by marketing agriculture policy!

I started dancing at the age of three competing and taking classes in tap, ballet, and jazz at B.B. Dance Productions in Charlotte North Carolina. While in college, I had the privilege to dance for the Golden Delight with the Blue and Gold Marching Machine where my love for the field began! Outside of dancing, my favorite things to do are spend time with friends and family, shopping, pageants and trying new restaurants! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful support system in my family and friends! I have to thank my mom and dad for every dance class, recital, and competition and most importantly for not stifling my dreams, no matter how outlandish they may be. I am so honored and humbled to cheer on the Skins and look forward to performing and getting the crowd pumped during the games!
