Hey Redskins Fans!
My name is Charo and I am absolutely thrilled, honored, and grateful to be back for my third season of cheering on the best team in the NFL! After being with this Redskins family, it is undoubtedly clear that I am one tiny part of a distinguished group of talented, passionate, and intelligent women – hence the title The First Ladies of Football!

I fell in love with dance when I was just five years old. Attending the Ballet Royale Institute of Maryland, I began with classical ballet, but soon added jazz, tap, contemporary, pointe, lyrical, modern, and hip hop to my repertoire. I competed and won many awards in several competitions, including the prestigious Youth America Grand Prix, and have spent most of my teenage summers away at dance programs, including the Miami City Ballet and Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet, to name a couple. After committing most of my life to dance, must I say that it is my biggest passion? I feel the most alive when I am performing and don’t believe that I have ever gone one day without dancing.
I attended the University of Maryland College Park where I studied business and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. I was on the Maryland Dance Team, a sister of Alpha Phi sorority, and a group fitness instructor at the campus gym. While in school, I had the chance to do a short study abroad program in the Southern Caribbean. We spent over a week sailing (with the aid of an amazing Dutch crew) on a clipper ship through the Caribbean. Though I learned much about geography and sailing, I think the most important lesson I took from this study abroad experience was the serene power and value of nature – hoisting the sails at 4am was definitely rewarded by being able to watch the sun rise over the pink and purple sky of St. Lucia.
Currently, I work in Tax for an international Big Four public accounting firm. During my free time, I love reading and being active. I enjoy yoga, tennis, hiking, snowboarding, playing with my Bichon Frise puppy, Caesar, and anything that involves the outdoors or a good workout! I also volunteer as a reading mentor through a great program called Everybody Wins and am loving watching my third grade reading buddy develop into a better reader and a more confident little person.
Since being with the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders, I’ve been able to travel to the Dominican Republic twice, Aruba, UAE, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. Taking the time and opportunity to go visit the troops overseas was something that I will never, ever forget - I truly cannot put into words how thankful and humbled I am by their service and sacrifice. To our great military men and women... You are America's heroes. Though there’s probably not much better than traveling the world with my teammates, my favorite part of being on this team is dancing and practicing with my teammates so that we can cheer on our Skins and perform for YOU in the stands! In the end, it all comes down to the fans and I can’t wait to help make your time at FedExField an unforgettable one.
Endless love and thanks to my incredible family and friends – there’s no way I’d be where I am today without your support. As for you, Redskins fans, it’s going to be an amazing season!
See you on Game Day!
