Hello Redskins Fans,
My name is Ashley and I’m so excited for my fourth season, and first season as a captain with the First Ladies of Football!
My love for the Redskins organization began when I was only 8 years old, as a Junior “Redskinette.” Ever since then, I had my heart set on one day becoming a Washington Redskins Cheerleader! In high school, I then advanced to a Junior Redskins All-Star competitive dancer, where my team placed 1st in every local competition, and in the UDA top ten of Nationally ranked dance teams.
I began dancing when I was just three years old. I took dance lessons at a local studio throughout my childhood, where I was the youngest child to advance to the Cecchetti Ballet Department at age four. I was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad in high school. I also danced with the professional dance company Capitol Movement, Inc., and WNBA Washington Mystics Mayhem for two seasons.

Along with professional cheerleading, I am also a college student, a cosmetic specialist, and a satellite Coach for the current Junior Redskins Cheerleaders. When I have free time, I enjoy being with my family, working out, traveling, relaxing, spending time with friends, watching movies, and sleeping. I am richly blessed with an amazing family and friends who have encouraged me throughout my life to reach for the stars and follow my dreams. I couldn't have come this far without their love and support, especially my Mom and Dad, who are always there for me!
One of my favorite things about being a WRC is supporting our troops through our Military Appreciation Tours. This past season, I had the honor to tour Kuwait (twice!), Iraq, as well as the local bases in the DMV. Meeting troops and talking with them is amazing and very rewarding. When we weren't dancing overseas, we were shooting guns, touring the many historical buildings in Baghdad, playing kickball with the troops, and flying in C-130 planes and Black Hawks. My favorite memory was during my second trip to Kuwait during Christmas-time, when we were able to see American troops from the very last flight come into Kuwait after they had all been withdrawn from Iraq. I am so thankful for everything that our troops do for us. Go USA!
Becoming a Washington Redskins Cheerleader truly is a dream come true. I'm ecstatic to be cheering another season for the Redskins and alongside the GREATEST fans in the NFL!
See you on the sidelines! HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!
