Hey there, Redskins Fans!

My name is Alyssa and I am VERY excited to go into my second season as a Washington Redskins Cheerleader!!!  I feel truly honored to be dancing with the most beautiful AND talented ladies in the NFL and I am loving every second of this experience. Along with cheer and competitive dance, I have studied ballet, modern, jazz, tap, hip-hop, traditional Indian and West African dance and, ballroom – you name it, I’ve probably taken at least one class of it!  I have also had the privilege to train with two dance companies in the DC Metro area, performing at venues such as the Kennedy Center for the Arts and Dance Place DC.

In addition to studying dance and earning my B.A. from the University of Maryland, College-Park, I double-majored and also received a B.S. in Business/Marketing.  After four-years of late nights, early morning rehearsals, taking about 21 credits per semester, and countless boxes of Easy Mac and Ramen, I landed a job with a major pharmaceutical company and now work as a sales representative!  The best moment of my pharma career so far was being recognized in the top 10% of the sales force nationwide.

My jobs as a pharmaceutical rep and a Redskins Cheerleader have been extremely rewarding so far.  They both require me to always be on my toes, which is perfect because I love being traveling and being active.  When I have a spare moment, I love to keep moving and grooving by taking different classes in the studio or at the gym.

On the rare occasion when I want to be a homebody, my favorite thing to do is turn up the heat in the kitchen.  I love cooking and trying out new “recipes” (meaning tossing around a few things that I think will go together…and keeping my fingers crossed!) To me, there is nothing better than cooking a good, stick-to-your-stomach meal…and having it all to eat…kidding!  While I’ve dreamed of opening my own restaurant, being part of the BEST NFL cheerleading squad in the country has been nothing short of a dream come true!  Thank you to my family and friends who have been so loving, understanding, and supportive for every step of this thrilling journey.  So put on your GAME FACE and I’ll see you all this season at FedEx Field. Go ‘Skins!!
